According to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in January 2013 Ukraine's crude steel production will increase by 2.7% compared to November this year to 2.760 million tonnes.

According to Metallurgprom's forecast, pig iron output in Ukraine will total 2.540 million tonnes in January up 4.5% compared to November while Ukrainian production of rolled steel is expected to be 2.520 million tonnes up 4% compared to November.

In December, Ukrainian companies plan to produce 2.760 million tonnes of crude steel, 2.422 million tonnes of pig iron and 2.468 million tonnes of rolled steel.

According to Metallurgprom's forecast, in 2013 Ukraine's crude steel production will increase by 5.6% YoY to 34.4 million tonnes pig iron output in Ukraine will total 29.9 million tonnes in 2013 up 4.6% compared to 2012 while Ukrainian production of rolled steel is expected to reach 31 million tonnes up 6.4% YoY.
